Overview

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Korean Language Instructor in Reston, VA. The ideal candidate will have a history or providing high level language instruction, lesson development, and assessment. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Language instructors will be expected to deliver proficiency based foreign language instruction to students ranging on a level from 0 to 3 on the Interagency Language Roundtable.  Instructors will be responsible for the full cycle of lesson development/planning, instruction, and student assessment.  Instruction will include developing student's skills in speaking, listening, and reading.

Qualifications

 
  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Candidates must possess native or near native competency in Korean.
  • Candidates must possess excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelors Degree (ideally completed in native country).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Korean Instruction.
  • Experience in using SharePoint and Microsoft Office.
  • No relocation available. 

Upon successful verification of the above minimum qualifications and job description criteria, candidates will be processed for a TS/SCI and polygraph.  Acceptance for this opportunity is dependent upon meeting all qualification/selection criteria.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Masters degree in English, Korean, or Education
  • 5 or more years of high level language instruction

Working Conditions

Travel OCONUS on a TDY basis is a requirement for some of the languages under this program.  Candidates must be able to support the program 24/7 when on travel.
