Responsibilities

SOSi is seeking a DFAC Hygiene Attendant for our current contract located on Camp Taji, Iraq.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Prepares dining room for patrons by cleaning and clothing tables; setting decorations, condiments, napkins, plates, utensils and stocking all beverage coolers
  • Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies in accordance with the SOP/PWS
  • Maintains and cleans the menu boards; updating bulletin boards and information board for better information dissemination procedure for patrons
  • Works on some janitorial and supportive kitchen tasks, such as washing dishes and silverware, emptying trash receptacles, scrubbing floors, restocking items, and performing other tasks to ensure that the kitchen and dining areas are clean and prepared for guests
  • Maintains table setting by cleaning and organizing tables after Guest leave; replenishing utensils and dishes throughout the meal; being alert to patron spills or other special needs
  • Ensures the availability of clean dishes and utensils, washing dishes, utensils, pots and pans
  • Prepares dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations
  • Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing condiments, trash container liners, and bus stations
  • Cleans chairs and tables
  • Sweeps and/or vacuuming floors
  • Removes trash and recyclables from the facility
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in full service or institutional food service environment
  • Excellent English communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers and other personnel
  • Knowledge of food service and sanitation standards
  • Ability to consistently arrive punctually and contribute to positive dining atmosphere
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluency in a foreign language

Working Conditions

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

  • Extended hours and weekend work is required with exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds
  • Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
