SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Data Integrity Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to manage data from source of collection into the customer's and/or contractor's computer system for storage, processing, and exploitation purposes, in addition to enabling efficient data management and information discovery. Data Integrity Specialists may be required to possess intermediate foreign language skills (IRL level 3/3+) but are not required to translate material into English. The Data Integrity Specialist would be in the DC metro area or onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and flag errors in technology-based/automated collection, e.g., missing and/or duplicate items, and/or transcription drops within items, and coordinate corrections to those errors.
  • Prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry
  • Check source documents for accuracy
  • Verify and correct data where necessary
  • Combine and rearrange data from source documents where required
  • Transcribe information into required electronic formats
  • Scan documents into management systems or database
  • Check complete work for accuracy
  • Maintain records of activities and tasks
  • Respond to requests for information and access relevant files
  • Ensure compliance with data integrity and security policies

Desired Functional/Domain Areas of Expertise

In additional to expertise as a Data Integrity Specialist, desired domain/topical experience is preferred in one or more of the following areas:

  • Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) – Chemical, Biological, Radiation/Nuclear (CBRN) weapon developments of state and non-state actors, including sub-specialties in specific WMD types (CBRN), delivery vehicles, and detection methods, satellite and space systems.
  • Counterterrorism (CT) – Monitoring and analysis of leadership, motivations, capabilities, plans, and intentions of foreign terrorist groups, as well as their state and non-state sponsors.
  • Counter-proliferation (CP) – Collection and analysis of information sources to support the countering of WMD threats and the proliferation of WMD-related components and materials, to also include counter-threat transnational crime related areas of narcotics, human trafficking, and cryptocurrency and financial intelligence, CBRNE technologies
  • Detection and Evaluation of Foreign Influence (DEFI) – Identification and analysis of undue influence by foreign governments on political, economic, and security policymaking of other governments, experience in Information Operations, Counterintelligence (CI) netops

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years-experience doing large scale, bulk data collects
  • BA/BS with SW development, Data Modeling, Data Analytics, Math, Information Systems, Web/multimedia disciplines
  • Demonstrate strong analytic, structured problem solving technical skills
  • Must be able to obtain a US government security clearance

  • Ability to use databases where content is stored (Postgres, Mongo, MySQL, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office
  • Virus checking
  • Data Deduplication methods
  • Fluency in a foreign language

Working Conditions

  • Virtual, metro DC area, or onsite at SOSi
  • Flexible shift hours to meet surge
  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
