SOSi is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Manager (Cyber Security Analyst) for a full-time position supporting our United States Government (USG) customer.  This position will report to the In-Country Program Manager.


  • Requires an understanding of security related system controls and an understanding of the various security policies including NIST SP 800-53A and DoD 8570
  • Leads and performs compliance reviews of computer security plans, performs risk assessments, and validates and performs security test evaluations and audits
  • Conduct day-to-day-management for the implementation and oversight for all IT functions
  • Utilize DOD applications and tools, such as Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), to record such RMF activities as control implementation of all applicable Security Controls, as identified via information system security categorization IAW NIST SP 800-53 and CNSSI 1253. Security controls are broken down into individual, measurable, statements called “assessment procedures” or “Control Correlation Indicators” IAW DoDI 8510.01
  • Performs and leads support of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) or other IA/CND Compliance and Auditing processes and inspections for all networked devices
  • Ensures validity and accuracy review of all associated documentation
  • Ensure that the information systems are configured IAW DISA STIGs, applicable patches, and other cybersecurity requirements
  • Monitor and report Approval to Connect (ATC) and Authority to Operate (ATO) expiration dates, ensuring authorization milestones meet all DOD published regulations and policies to avoid disconnection
  • Perform Nessus vulnerability assessments, to include risk analysis of vulnerabilities, threats, and the impact of losing systems' capabilities on the mission objective; recommend decisions to implement security countermeasures or mitigate risk; implement approved countermeasures; and perform periodic reviews
  • Analyzes and defines security requirements for information protection for enterprise systems and networks
  • Create, manage and maintain a database for the collection and distribution of all information operations products including, but not limited to raw video footage, audio, images, text and web-based products
  • Manage and maintain, network architecture design and implementation
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting across a broad range of IT systems to include (Linux, MAC OS, Windows)
  • Shall, if required, embed in the customers’ automation section


  • Active In Scope SECRET clearance
  • Five (5) years’ experience working in IT asset use and management, networking, database management, web design, Assurance functions and using RMF IT security controls
  • Must possess and maintain an IAM - II level certification IAW AR 25-2 and IAM I certifications IAW DoD 8570.01-M Security+, CASP+, CEH and 1 Cisco certificate
  • ITIL is a plus
  • Possess experience in network architecture design, implementation, and maintenance; database ad website development, and maintenance and troubleshooting across a broad range of IT systems
  • Function effectively during heightened threat levels and extended periods of high stress and physical danger and discomfort
  • Organize and properly prioritize work assignments and function well in an environment that requires constant multi-tasking - and often long hours
  • Excellent written, oral, briefing, interpersonal and technical skills
  • Understanding of the OSI model

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required


Working Conditions

• Live and work daily with military customer in austere conditions across Afghanistan

• Function effectively and efficiently in a conflict zone, during extended periods of high pressure and stress
