SOS International LLC (SOSi), is seeking a Software Configuration Management Specialist (Journeyman) in vicinity of Aberdeen, Maryland.


  • Must be able to write Configuration Management (CM) Plans and audit software change procedures, software development, software testing, and software documentation to verify compliance with software CM plans and procedures.
  • Must be capable of participating in design reviews, configuration audits, and evaluations of software products to ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of the software baseline for each system.
  • Working on code management, audits, baseline identification, and preparation and control of documentation for software projects.


  • Current in scope TS/SCI security clearance.
  • BS or higher in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline. Four additional years of applicable experience can be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 2+ years of software configuration management.
  • Experience providing support to the Configuration Control Board (CCB).
  • Knowledge creating/maintaining program software baselines.
  • Experience supporting development and production builds/rebuilds using Software Configuration Management (SCM) standard toolsets.
  • Identifies, processes, records, maintains, retrieves and compiles SCM data to support the software development and approval process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Automated Configuration Management tools such as ClearCase/ClearQuest a plus. 
  • Fluency in a foreign language desired.

Working Conditions

  • Work environment is normal for office setting
  • Occasional physical exertion, including lifting and/or moving objects or packages weighing up to 25 lbs.
