SOS International LLC (SOSi), is seeking a highly qualified SSHO to support a project providing technical services including inspections, assessments, repairs, reports, and training for facilities and operations-related projects. Specifically, this project includes electrical inspection and repairs, fire prevention assessment and training, storage and management of government / contractor property, and construction and operations related inspections and assessments at various U.S. military and coalition occupied facilities.

 

This position will require deployment to countries within the U.S. military’s CENTCOM area of Responsibility, including the operations center in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Some travel throughout the CENTCOM AOR is anticipated for this position. The ideal candidate will have proven experience supporting similar work in an OCONUS contingency environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage a program safety plan in accordance with EM 385-1-1 Safety and Health Requirements Manual, including policy and standard operating procedures.
  • Must travel frequently across the CENTCOM Area of Operations (AO) to support needs of the program in reviewing safety standards.
  • Applies solutions to SSHO related issues including investigations of accidents and near-misses, summation of findings, and recommendation of strategies to prevent recurrences.
  • Conducts mishap/incident investigations and completes required reports.
  • Maintains an OSHA Form 300 or equivalent injury and illness log and Daily Production reports for prime and subcontractors.
  • Maintains applicable safety reference material on the job site.
  • Maintains a safety and health deficiency tracking system that monitors outstanding deficiencies until resolution; posts a list of unresolved safety and health deficiencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Must be a licensed journeyman of master Electrician.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience managing multiple teams working in remote locations.
  • Ability to pass CENTCOM MOD 14 deployment requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.

Working Conditions

  • Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable at times.
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
  • Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary.
  • May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
