Overview

SOSi is seeking an Administrative Specialist (Medical Records) for our current contract located on Camp Taji, Iraq.

Responsibilities

  • Works as a member of a team to support health care providers to achieve the best patient care/outcome in a clinic setting.
  • Serve as an administrative assistant for record keeping.
  • Monitor and assist with the completion of the Patient Encounter Log and Daily Morbidity Report.
  • Ensure that the Clinic Team follow the administrative guidelines and procedures with regards to patient administrative documentation and recording.
  • Assist the Clinic Team with processing of additional medical administration processes such as in-processing and new patient registration, filing of medical records, and out-processing.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all clinic notice and information boards are kept current.
  • Working in concert with the clinic team, and the PA/NP to ensure all recording and archiving of personnel medical administrative documentation (Personal Immunization Records, PDHA paperwork etc.) is completed.
  • To submit Work-Orders, SORs, IT Assistance Requests etc. and track such for completion
  • Maintenance of clinic cleaning material and personal hygiene supplies.
  • Communicate any issues, problems, or additional project difficulties within sphere of work and recommend solutions.
  • Effectively convey the SOSI brand in both written and verbal business development discussions.
  • Comply with and enforce both SOSI and Client standard policies and procedures.
  • Be responsive to project requirements, anticipate needs where possible and use initiative to improve delivery of service where appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High School education required; college desired
  • A proven ability to work with minimal supervision, showing initiative and capability to successfully interact and liaise with non-medical/clinical personnel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and management of data spreadsheets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Preventive Medicine practices and standards.
  • Knowledge of Medical Recordkeeping, patient confidentiality and HIPAA.
  • Previous experience in deployed environment operating under US MOD 14 requirements.
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required 

Working Conditions

  • Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable at times 
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions 
  • Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary
  • May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
