SOSi is currently seeking an Operational Security (OPSEC) Planner.  Qualified candidates should have completed at least OPSEC Level I training, and ideally Level II or III.


  • Responsibilities include coordination and providing training for units across the Enterprise identifying and protection critical information related to the Special Forces activates and Defense Critical Infrastructure (DCI) with appropriate OPSEC measures and advising assigned units of information protection requirements vital for the mission.  Incorporate current threat data into OPSEC programs and plans.  Work with SOCOM and DCIP planners to identify and protect through the use of OPSEC measure, critical information related to DCIP plans and programs to integrate DCOIP into OPSEC assessments and surveys as needed.
  • Develops long-range plans, goals, objectives and milestones to evaluate the effectiveness of the OPSEC Program throughout the Special Forces enterprise.  Coordinates the planning and development of the JSCO OPSEC Program.  Prepares, recommends, and supervises execution of the command OPSEC program.  Develops program guidance for subordinate units and performs continuous appraisal of the command program objectives and goals.  Conducts staff visits to subordinate commands to review, discuss, coordinate, and evaluate OPSEC programs.  A through understanding of how OPSEC regulation, OPS and Force Protection Program Studies and analyses are such scope that they require a team effort.  Projects typically involve development of new approaches to identify meaningful OPSEC identifiers.



  • An active in-scope TS/SCI clearance
  • Minimum of 10 years analytical experience with DoD or equivalent Government agencies required with support to SOF operations and 5 years of analytical experience at the operational level
  • Shall be proficient in utilizing basic computer applications and intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts and product development
  • Shall possess strong briefing skills and be capable of effectively directing subordinate analysts in the accomplishment of intelligence products and assessments
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and be highly proficient in all source analytical support tools
  • Firsthand experience in Regional Analysis, HUMINT/SIGINT Analysis, Collection Management, Sensitive Site Exploitation (SSE)
  • Must possess a valid US passport
  • Must be able to pass all pre-deployment requirements including a medical, dental, psychological, background, credit, and security screens as deemed necessary to be considered deployable
  • Must be able to obtain all required immunizations deemed necessary by the contract

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Acute knowledge of SOF and/or counterterrorism intelligence experience

  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends
