Overview

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking an experienced Mid-level Operational Strategist/Desk Officer to join our team in Quantico, VA, United States.  The Mid-level Operational Strategist/Desk Officer will be responsible for providing functional and contextual guidance in the implementation of various intelligence disciplines, systems and platforms.

This position will require interaction with a wide variety of Government and contractor personnel, with the ability to provide analytic assessments, develop intelligence-related products, research open and closed source databases, and develop position papers and briefings as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, manipulate, and exploit data using existing or innovative methodologies
  • Identify and interpret informational linkages through analysis tools for operational reporting purposes when appropriate
  • Provide targeting analysis and/or writing targeting packages
  • Perform Source identification and development activities
  • Provide Source validation support
  • Develop evaluation and feedback of serialized IC reporting in order to aid in source validation and retasking and inform collectors of the value of collected information.
  • Respond to RFIs/RFAs
  • Quality control of processes and products produced
  • Access and perform research on intelligence databases and exploitation tools for the purpose of identifying information of interest to the customer
  • Prepare or contribute to complex intelligence studies or reports which include all aspects related to specifically-defined geographic or functional areas
  • Apply established intelligence practices to specific problems of a complex nature
  • Disseminate actionable intelligence and threat analysis
  • Develop information and technical support documents, summaries, reports, presentations and other designated products in support of the customer's information and technical support requirements
  • Research and evaluate all available intelligence information relating to their assigned area of responsibility
  • Present briefings to personnel designated by the customer

Qualifications

  • An active in-scope TS/SCI with current SSBI and CI Scope Polygraph within the last 3 years
  • Graduate of DoD or Federal CI/Law Enforcement (FLETC) Badge & Credentialing School
  • Graduate of Foreign CI Training or Source Operations Training
  • Five (5) years current, demonstrated and relevant subject matter expert experience in providing support and development of customer's policies, via analyses and recommendations, for high-priority implementation and planning efforts involving joint, interagency, and multinational actors for full-spectrum traditional military and cyberspace-based operations
  • Three (3) years' current, demonstrated and relevant subject matter expert experience for the support and development of DoD/Service Component policies, via analyses and recommendations, for high-priority implementation and planning efforts involving joint, interagency, and multinational actors for full-spectrum traditional military and cyberspace-based operations, to include Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Counterintelligence, Operational Preparation of the Environment (OPE), Offensive Operations, Defensive Operations, and DoD Information Network ( DoDIN ) Operations
  • Three (3) years' current, demonstrated and relevant subject matter expert experience in providing functional and contextual guidance in the implementation of various intelligence disciplines, ISR systems and platforms, and multidiscipline intelligence processes including, but not limited to: Cryptology, Intelligence & Electronic Warfare (IEW), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT), Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Measurements and Signatures Intelligence (MASINT), All-Source Intelligence Analysis, Counterterrorism (CT), Counterintelligence (CI), intelligence systems development and maintenance, Law Enforcement (LE) analysis, and other related fields

     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Former Military Intelligence experience (35F, 35L, 35M, 14N, 1N0, 0210, 0211, or equivalent)
  • Specialized training on the organizations, capabilities, and tradecraft used by different foreign intelligence services.
  • Experience with HOTR, CIAWire, Harmony, NCTCOnline, TAC, Open Source Center, TIDE
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (specifically OneNote) and Analyst Notebook
  • Strong knowledge of military operations, terminology, and structure
  • Possess qualifying training, specifically country threat seminars offered by JCITA, or equivalent offered by another IC organization.
  • Possess strong analytic writing skills and the ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data and logically and clearly convey analytic findings whether in concise executive correspondence for senior decision makers, or comprehensive (10-15 page) special assessments for technical or operational customers
