Overview

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking an experienced, Secret cleared Cultural Advisor to join our team in Italy.  The Cultural Advisor will be responsible for an array of cultural analytical activities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert level knowledge and provide a vast array of cultural analytical activities, to include translating a wide variety of complex texts containing difficult, idiomatic, scientific, and colloquial writing and capture subtleties, nuance, tone, and register; producing text reflecting a specific culture from analysis to argumentation, capturing socio-cultural
    elements.
  • Applies foreign language skills, area/geographical knowledge, and subject matter expertise in a
    collaborative environment to review and assess foreign publicly available data (websites, online platforms, mobile applications, social media and traditional press sources) to identify trends, patterns and relationships.
  • Provides finished intelligence reports; interpreting and projecting existing data to fill gaps in information, requesting the collection of data to fill gaps in knowledge, and reviewing/evaluating finished intelligence reports from the point of view of their specific subject matter fields.
  • Responds to requests for assistance (RFA), requests for support (RFS), and requests for information (RFI), analyze data, and write analytic products, white papers, working
    papers, and other finished all-source intelligence assessments on substantive issues as determined by the Government.

Qualifications

 

  • Position requires an Active in-scope Secret clearance.
  • Five (5) years' of current, demonstrated and relevant experience performing a vast array of cultural analytical activities, to include translating a wide variety of complex texts containing difficult, idiomatic, scientific, and colloquial writing and capture subtleties, nuance, tone, and register; producing text reflecting a specific culture from analysis to argumentation, capturing socio-cultural elements.   • Five (5) years' of current, demonstrated and relevant experience in the application of foreign language skills, area/geographical knowledge, and subject matter expertise in a collaborative environment to review and assess foreign publicly available data (websites, online platforms, mobile applications, social media and traditional press sources) to identify trends, patterns and

  • Current, demonstrated and relevant experience deployed as a linguist supporting contingency operations in support of DoD
  • Current, demonstrated and relevant knowledge of the Intelligence Community, military, cryptologic and law enforcement operations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in target-language and English.

Working Conditions
