SOSi is contracted to support the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with relocation, housing, transportation, and concierge services for its Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) sailors and their families while training in Spain. SOSi’s mission is to ease the logistical, personal, and social burdens these families may experience when undergoing an international transition by offering quality support services. These services shall include translation services, administrative assistance, scheduling and accompanying individuals to medical appointments, assisting with school enrollment, travel coordination, and other events as assigned.


SOSi has an immediate need for a Coordinator in the Cadiz, Spain area. Successful candidates will join a team of like-minded professionals that are focused on maintaining clear communication and accurately conveying the respective needs for both SOSi personnel and RSNF sailors and their families. As SOSi’s goal is to provide its customers with professional, courteous, and high-quality services, the candidate must embrace and demonstrate a consistent “customer first” attitude. 


This program has ambitious goals with short delivery times. Therefore, the candidate must have the ability to quickly adapt to unexpected events and thrive in a fast-paced environment:

  • Provide accurate written and verbal translation and interpretation between Arabic (Gulf Dialect), Spanish, and English for SOSi personnel and RSNF sailors and their families. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting general operations, assisting in any actions associated with obtaining visas, scheduling medical appointments, enrolling RSNF children in academic institutions, accompanying RSNF personnel on travel engagements, and participating in interviews, meetings, and/or other events, as assigned
  • Offer cultural awareness and advice to both SOSi personnel and RSNF sailors and their families on Spanish customs and etiquette to ensure neither party inadvertently disrespects the local populace. Prior to any engagements in which the Coordinator will accompany RSNF personnel and their families, he or she will provide cultural advice and ethnic context to inform them of the customary traditions of Spain
  • Assist SOSi personnel in performing tasks in the local economy. This may entail in the purchasing of materials, and/or accompanying and translating for SOSi personnel when meeting with local vendor and supplier management. With prior approval from Program Management, the Coordinator may be tasked to act on behalf of SOSi
  • Provide administrative support and document translation for Program Management
  • Monitor both local and federal news outlets in order to provide SOSi management with any information that is relevant to the program and/or can hinder SOSi’s operations in Spain
  • Organize and attend key meetings and provide written summaries and advice on the outcomes of those meetings
  • In the event a RSNF sailor and/or family member find themselves in a situation with the local authorities, the Coordinator will accompany the appropriate SOSi personnel to translate for all relevant parties
  • Maintain a positive attitude and develop close working relationships with the RSNF sailors and their families
  • Help SOSi cultivate an exemplary business reputation by representing the company’s abilities honestly, upholding the highest standards of integrity, and adhering to SOSi’s Business Ethics and Policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • High school degree or GED equivalent
  • 3-5years of experience in producing translation and language related services
  • Must have a minimum of general professional proficiency (3) in Arabic language for listening, speaking, reading and writing and a minimum of general professional proficiency (3) in Spanish, with preference given to general professional proficiency plus (3+) or higher whenever possible.
  • Ability to conduct consecutive and accurate translation, transcription, and interpretation services of on-going conversations and using correct syntax and expressions.
  • Ability to accurately provide cultural and ethnic context to team members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Spanish-Arabic linguist
    • This includes in either a military or commercial setting
  • Proficiency in English highly desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
  • Ability to supplement language capabilities with knowledge of professional fields such as medical, logistics, communications, engineering, legal etc. is beneficial.

Working Conditions

  • Personnel can expect to work in a mix of office environment, as well as travel within the assigned duty location in support of customer needs
  • Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary
  • May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
  • Up to 25% domestic travel may be required
