SOSi is currently seeking experienced Mission Support Detachment Open Source Researcher to join our team in Fort Belvoir, VA, United States. This position will provide the Army and Joint Forces with an Information Operations capability to monitor, analyze, plan, develop, and engage the online Information Environment in order to disrupt and degrade adversary social media operations using and/or enhancing information related capabilities.



  • Perform analysis and research tasks
  • Provide Open Source research and reporting
  • Identify, obtain and maintain access to media sources requirement for open source research
  • Incorporate open source research
  • Utilize tools, databases, and websites to collect and analyze data and information to include online videos, broadcasts, and social media platforms. Maintain proficiency on all tools, software, and databases in support of a myriad of missions


  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Proven experience in Open Source research
  • Experience working with Social Media in support of operations
  • Attended the Army Information Operations Planner Course
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. 
  • Candidates must score a 3+ on one of the following languages: Arabic, Russian, Farsi, Dari, Pashto, Mandarin, Tagalog and/or Somali.

  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Intelligence background 
  • Military background
