SOSi is currently seeking a Transportation/Logistics Lead to plan all forms of transportation efforts to support the day-to-day function of "Phase 0 through Phase V" planning on a U.S. Government program in Honduras.


  • Perform transportation planning across all operational phases including transportation to and from the theater and transportation within the theater.
  • Plan transportation support as it relates to vehicle availability, operators, load mastering, and other similar transportation requirements.
  • Plan itinerary and schedule travel accommodations for military and civilian personnel with dependents according to travel orders using knowledge of routes, types of carriers, and travel regulations.
  • Verify travel orders to ensure costs, availability, and convenience of different types of carriers to select most advantageous route and carrier; notify personnel of travel dates, baggage limits, and medical and visa requirements; and determine that all clearances have been obtained.
  • Assist personnel in completing travel forms and other business transactions pertaining to travel, may deliver personnel files and travel orders to people prior to departure, meet and inform arriving personnel of available facilities and housing and furnish other information, and may arrange for motor transportation for arriving or departing personnel.
  • Manage special requests as necessary.
  • The incumbent is characterized by independence of action, with very little instruction, guidance, and review, except for review of accomplishments of broad objectives and conformance to policy.
  • The incumbent is viewed as the authority on transportation matters, including the furnishing of advice and information to travelers, administrative officials, and others, and has responsibility as the principal liaison with all elements, carriers, and facilities.


  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance within 6 months.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation and Logistics Management from an accredited university.
  • Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) certificate issued by the International Society of Logistics (SOLE).
  • Must be knowledgeable about Army logistics at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels and operational contract support and must be able to write documents that are clear and free from errors.
  • Must have strong communication skills and be capable of adjusting to the communication style appropriate for the audience.
  • Must be able to listen and understand supported unit requirements.
  • Must be knowledgeable about and have experience with the military decision-making process (MDMP).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful working experience in military logistical planning and management at the operational command level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating on similar programs in Honduras is preferred.
  • Experience working in extreme climate conditions is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is desirable, but not required.
