Overview

SOSi is seeking a Systems and integration engineer with an expert level of cross-disciplinary technical understanding. This position requires the ability to lead teams and projects, and attention to detail and organization. A successful candidate balances the appropriate applications of consensus with decisiveness and is capable of motivating internal and external entities to close on technical inputs. Must be able to recognize and mitigate technical issues and risks while operating within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for interface integration, developing engineering and integration strategies, prioritizing and aligning stakeholder work, performing and overseeing concept of operations development analysis and engineering, system architecting, interface and data architecture development, validation and verification, systems integration, and system & operational performance analysis

  • Development of Mission system requirements, Verification/validation planning, Mission planning/execution, mission analysis, modeling/simulation and system trade studie
  • Working on software development projects, including end-to-end life cycle and test engineering or QA
  • Managing interdependencies, identifying disconnects, between current and future architectures, requirements, and interfaces, and resolving system issues 
  • Supporting the customer in defining, capturing, and maintaining the technical, schedule, and cost risks throughout the system lifecycle and developing risk mitigation courses of action and assessing impacts of risks and proposed changes

Qualifications

  • Active in Scope TS/SCI with CI poly
  • Bachelor's Degree (in a STEM field) with 9+ years’ experience OR Master's Degree (in a STEM field) with 7+ years’ experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment with excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Ability to work with a diverse community of engineers and managers to achieve the goals of the program team
  • 2+ years’ experience with DevOps
  • 5+ years’ experience with Integration & Test
  • 5+ years of IC experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of public cloud fabrics like AWS or Azure is desirable, but not required
  • 5+ years of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience is desirable, but not required
  • 2+ years of NRO experience is desirable, but not required 
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required

Working Conditions

  • Normal office working conditions with possible requirement to lift and/or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs
  • Periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary
