SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Building Automation System (BAS) Technician to support a large Base Operations Support (BOS) program providing operations & maintenance (O&M) support services to our U.S. government customer in Iraq. The ideal candidate will have experience working on other large O&M programs in contingency environments.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain all devices encompassing the BAS system including, but not limited to, the network wiring, all site devices, gateways, controllers, field panels, and sensors, but excluding the computers and monitors.
  • Ensure the customer has an accurately functioning BAS system and components 100% of the time, not including scheduled shutdowns pre-approved by the USG.
  • Ensure that all facility systems and equipment monitored meet the functional requirements listed in the applicable quality levels 100% of the time.
  • Verify that all manufacturer’s controls systems are available and the systems meet those standards.
  • Respond to emergency calls within fifteen (15) minutes 100% of the
  • Ensure BAS software patches and updates are completely installed within seventy-two (72) hours of factory notification and verified by the contractor and sign-off of completion sent to the
  • Ensure BAS documentation, reports, logs, as-built drawings, data, electronic files and backups are accurately maintained in accordance with the contract requirements, 100% of the
  • Review Alarm history and trend log files on a daily basis and report all exceptions to the COR.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited U.S. college or university; experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in O&M of building computer and microprocessor-controlled systems.
  • Three or more years of experience working in direct maintenance on building automation systems in large modern commercial or Government office buildings.
  • Demonstrated experience working in direct maintenance with Siemens, Honeywell, or equivalent building automation system.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Excellent demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent demonstrated interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent demonstrated critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the U.S. Government Contracting industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with running large O&M programs in a contingency environment
  • Experience working with USG building trade, construction, fire, and safety codes and standards are highly desirable.
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desired, but not required.

Working Conditions

  • Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable or hazardous at times.
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
  • Requires periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary.
  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
