SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Collection Manager at the Mid-Level in support of a government customer in Reston, VA.  The Mid Collection Manager will provide support to the Government/Directorate for Science and Technology/Office of Space and Counterspace to provide foundational and operational support to Combatant Commands, Department of Defense (DOD) and Intelligence Community (IC) customers.  



  • Develop collection management plans for MASINT technical collection activities as defined by National MASINT requirements
  • Identify and prioritize intelligence gaps
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers to facilitate requirements production
  • Develop and manage a collection plan that integrates requirements with target characteristics and compares the plan to the capabilities and limitations of the available collection assets
  • Create collection strategies with observables mapped to various phenomenology and various subdiscipline capabilities in support of collection operations
  • Identify intelligence gaps of interest and subsequently work with other collection managers as necessary to submit collection requirements to target specific intelligence gaps


  • Active TS/SCI, must be willing to obtain a CI Polygraph
  • At least 5 years of experience conducting collection management relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years
  • Collection managers shall have a demonstrated track record performing functions as a collection requirements manager at the theater or national level
  • Bachelor's degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. 8 years of experience is needed in lieu of the degree
  • Demonstrating ability to register requirements, validating, and prioritizing them, assigning them to a collection activity, monitoring collection, and assessing the results
  • Demonstrates understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations, to include but not limited to, technical sensors and platforms
  • Demonstrates understanding of evaluating collected intelligence reporting and engaging with other collection managers and analysts
  • Graduate of an in-residence DoD/IC collection management course.Knowledgeable of and demonstrates ability to apply Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD classification guidelines and procedures
  • Demonstrates ability to work semi-independently with oversight and direction
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing collection disputes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using the National MASINT Requirements System
  • Collection Management Professional – Fundamental (CCMP-F) certification with knowledge and skills across multiple intelligence disciplines
