SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Space/Counterspace (SCS) Analyst to support a program enabling integrated joint/combined space operations. The program supports the planning, integration, execution and assessment of global space operations in order to deliver combat relevant space capabilities to U.S. and coalition partners. The SCS Analyst will support intelligence analysis and operations to gain space domain awareness as well as provide intelligence support to operational planning to enable assured delivery of space capabilities.


  • Conduct all-source analytic production of foreign space capabilities including, but not limited to foreign adversary space doctrine, strategy, communications and collections, vulnerabilities, platforms, assembly and launch capabilities, weapons, dual-use systems and technologies, and emerging space technologies.
  • Works with engineers and scientists on foreign space capabilities.
  • Provide all-source space/counter-space intelligence analysis in support of deliberate, contingency, crisis, and exercise planning via products to include capability assessments, orders-of-battle, mission analysis, space/counter-space proliferation assessments and enemy courses of action as well as targeting products such as electronic targeting folders and target system analysis.
  • Collaborate with U.S. and coalition partners on foreign space capabilities and coordinate intelligence analysis and support to planning with mission partners.
  • Use several of the following software tools in producing SIPB, analysis, and/or planning products; MICROSOFT Office, Adobe Acrobat, Google Earth, Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB), Intellipedia (wiki coding), Satellite Toolkit (STK), TRIPWIRE and the Joint Targeting Toolkit.
  • Input relevant space/counter-space data into MIDB in the proper format.
  • Assist in the identification and development of Priority Intelligence requirements (PIRs) and Essential Elements of Information (EEIs) in concert with Collection and Requirement Managers.
  • Brief CFSCC leadership and mission partners on analytical assessments.
  • Assist in the organization and hosting of working groups with Subject Matter Experts to develop intelligence products and support planning efforts.


  • Active TS/SCI, must be willing to obtain a CI Polygraph.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experiences for the position.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced. Demonstrated ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.

  • Provides guidance in selecting, designing, and applying analytic methodologies.
  • Uses argument evaluation and validated analytic methodologies to challenge differing perspectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to this specific task, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
