SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Intelligence Planner to support a program enabling integrated joint/combined space operations. The program supports the planning, integration, execution and assessment of global space operations in order to deliver combat relevant space capabilities to U.S. and coalition partners. The Intelligence Planner will support intelligence analysis and operations to gain space domain awareness as well as provide intelligence support to operational planning to enable assured delivery of space capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intelligence expertise and knowledge to assist in the integration of intelligence support capabilities, including collection, analytic and targeting activities, into operational planning functions and efforts across the DoD. Mission areas include, but not limited to, development of campaign plans, deliberate planning, crisis management, and time sensitive planning.
  • Apply Joint doctrine principles, instructions, and manuals supporting the development of campaign, contingency, exercise, and crisis planning.
  • Undertake methods to work within the customer's time-sensitive planning/crisis action planning cycle and contribute relevant targets, targeting information/material and enemy courses of action.
  • Assist with red teaming and intelligence operations feasibility assessments within the planning process.
  • Produce Space Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace (SIPB) and targeting products on foreign space/counter-space programs that characterizes, assesses, and documents capabilities in support of deliberate planning, contingency, operations, crisis action and in preparation for/during exercises.
  • Assist in the identification of indications and warning (I&W) for adversary space/counter-space activities and ensure those indicators are documented.
  • Use several of the following software tools in producing SIPB, analysis, and/or planning products; MICROSOFT Office, Adobe Acrobat, Google Earth, Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB), Intellipedia (wiki coding), Satellite Toolkit (STK), TRIPWIRE and the Joint Targeting Toolkit.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI, must be willing to obtain a CI Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 8 years of experience relevant to this specific task, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years..
  • Demonstrated comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced. Structures analytic questions based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work with other members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.
  • Demonstrates ability to guide teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems.
