Overview

SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst - Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team in Stuttgart, Germany.  The Cybersecurity Analyst - Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise in all cyber security initiatives and provides computer network defense (CND) architecture and support for all mission networks.

Responsibilities

  • Draft documentation needed to announce new cyber security initiatives and participate in building and implementing processes surrounding cyber security.
  • Identify and analyze intelligence information about threats to customer’s information processing systems.
  • Associate and correlate IP address related events with specific systems or devices in the IT infrastructure. Correlate events from the various components in the IT security infrastructure and identify attacks and breaches.
  • Develop and implement plans for continuous monitoring that ensures management and operational controls are functioning effectively.
  • Create, review, or update System Security Plans, Risk Assessments, Incident Response Plans, Configuration Management Plans, and other plans and artifacts required by FISMA and the A&A process.
  • Conduct self-assessments of security controls, identify weaknesses and track remediation activities in Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M)
  • Provide strong technical leadership and project management skills. Present findings in meetings, and follow-up with staff on action items.
  • Conduct due diligence work to evaluate the status and needs of a program.  Perform a gap analysis to help determine what is needed for successful transition.
  • Perform research on current and innovative systems security techniques and methodologies and recommend solid solutions.
  • Attends planning conferences, participates in collaboration sessions.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Qualifications

  • A current active in-scope TS/SCI
  • High School Diploma with eleven (11) years IT experience OR, Associate's degree with seven (7) years of experience, OR a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
  • DoD 8570 IAT level III compliance (e.g. CISSP, etc)
  • Must be able to obtain certification as a Technical Expert by the German Government under the Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) process
  • Thorough knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), security principles, concepts, policies and regulations
  • Assist in drafting "Authorization to Operate" (ATO) packages for new and existing systems and updating or establishing artifacts to support security controls
  • Experience utilizing the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support System (EMASS)
  • Communicating clearly, precisely in order to solve problem and innovate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology or related discipline
  • MCSA/MCSE/MCITP certification or Cisco CCNP Certifications
  • ITIL-F v3/v4
  • Knowledgeable of security and systems standards, Access Management, Authorization/ Permissions Management, Network Protocols, System management applications, and System & Network Security
  • Experience working with account management on various platforms such a Windows, UNIX, Active Directory, LDAP, network devices, databases and storage systems.
  • Work with peers throughout client to collect input on needed security capabilities.
  • Recent experience supporting coalition networks/systems
