**This position is contingent upon contract award**

 

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Data Scientist (Expert) to support the US Government at Peterson AFB CO.

Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis, and uses scientific techniques to correlate data into graphical, written, visual and verbal narrative products, enabling more informed analytic decisions
  • Proactively retrieve information form various sources, analyzes it for better understanding about the data set, and build AI tools that automate certain processes.
  • Create various ML-based tools or processes, such as recommendation engines or automated lead scoring systems
  • Perform statistical analysis, apply data mining techniques, and builds high quality prediction systems
  • Work independently with minimal government oversight, and provide comprehensive and completed products that may require Senior Intelligence Analyst/Officer minor revisions and editing
  • Develop and manage plan of actions and milestones

Qualifications

 

  • Possess an active in scope US government TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain CI poly
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience
  • Minimum of a Master’s degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Ability to define problems, supervise studies and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions
  • Expertise in identifying, planning, developing, and executing analytic production methodologies, tradecraft and techniques
  • Experience providing strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to Defense planners and policy maker
  • Mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies and pursure developments in academia or other fields
  • Ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments to address and contribute to high-level tasks
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intra-IC boundaries and clearly articulate key findings
  • Experience reviewing analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions; routinely tests analytic rigor of analytic products
  • Skilled in data visualization and use of graphical applications, including Mircorsoft Office (Power BI) and Tableau
  • Skilled in major data science langguages, such as R and Python; managing and merging of disparate date sources, preferably through R, Python, or SQL; statistical analysis and data minging algorithms
  • Prior experience with large data Multi-INT analytics, ML, and automated predictive analytsics

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Familiarity with DCSA missions, FEMA and predictive analysis
  • Experience with, or training on ODNI Analytic standards and related ODNI Analytic Tradecraft Standards
