SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.  The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a leader and instructor for the Agile Release Train (ART). The ideal candidate with have a strong technical background in information technology management.


  • The RTE is responsible for carrying out the ART processes, helping the teams deliver value, manage risk, communicate with stakeholders and initiate improvement.
  • Organizes, directs, and manages scheduling activities related to building and maintaining software releases for their promotion to the production environment.
  • Manages and supervises personnel involved in release management and scheduling activities, and oversees the successful completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Quickly analyze a situation and coordinate the team to find a solution.


  • Active in scope Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training in System Design and Development.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant technical experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in relevant field with SAFe release train engineer certification.
  • Previous experience in Organizing, directing, and managing activities related to building and maintaining software releases for their promotion to the production environment.
  • Strong process knowledge of System Development Life Cycles.
  • Experience with automated configuration management/code management systems.
  • Strong program and project management skills.
  • The RTE requires a solid comprehension of Lean-Agile frameworks, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and Agile metrics.
  • Possess an expansive understanding of Agile and product development and specific knowledge of the system.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.
