SOSi is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to support a large Base Operations Support (BOS) program providing logistics and life support services to our U.S. government customer in Iraq. The ideal candidate will have experience working on other large BOS and life support programs in contingency environments.


  • Work closely with the Program Manager (PM) to develop, analyze, and strategize program goals, implement company policy, and procedures to ensure cost effective solutions are presented to the customer while maintaining the efficiency to the program.
  • Support the Program Manager understanding profit and loss (P/L), program budgets and costs, program funding and program financial reporting.
  • Actively pursue solutions to correct deficiencies as necessary.
  • Establish full understanding of task order(s), Statement of Work (SOW) and contract requirements in order to prepare, track and submit customer and corporate deliverables and program milestones.
  • Respond to operational inquiries from the field and liaise with the Program Manager and others for program decision making.
  • In the absence of the Program Manager demonstrate the ability to serve as a program representative to USG counterparts, SOSi management teams and other stakeholders in addition to weekly meetings with the customer.
  • Works independently and exercises reasonable discernment with little supervision while providing clear documentation of activities and accomplishments


  • A high school diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's Degree in a similar profession is preferred, however, verifiable relevant experience managing similar tasks will be considered in lieu of a four year degree.
  • 15 years of experience in related life support services and/or logistics management, with a minimum of 5 years experience in providing such services to large facilities or operations overseas in a contingency environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks independently 
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and collaboration in diverse environments.
  • Knowledge of the FAR
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance 
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills 
  • Excellent demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent demonstrated interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent demonstrated critical thinking skills 
  • Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the U.S. Government Contracting industry 
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large life support services programs in a contingency environment
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desired, but not required 

Working Conditions

  • Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable or hazardous at times 
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions 
  • Requires periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary 
  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
