SOSi is seeking a Food Services Manager to support a large Base Operations Support (BOS) program providing logistics and life support services to our U.S. government customer in Iraq. The Food Services Manager will supervise the labor force and use of resources to meet food service requirements of the task order.The ideal candidate will have experience working on other large BOS and life support programs in contingency environments.


  • Oversight responsibility and daily management of food service operations and meeting daily requirements while delivering a high-quality product.
  • Achieve company and client financial targets and goals to include oversight of cash-handling and the POS system.
  • Develop and maintain client and customer relationships.
  • Motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline staff.
  • Ensure SOSi standards are met to include compliance with company food and physical safety programs.
  • Responsible for accountability, safety, and security of all food services equipment and personnel.
  • Performs other duties as required by the Program Management.


  • A high school diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's Degree in a similar profession is preferred, however, verifiable relevant experience managing similar tasks will be considered in lieu of a four year degree.
  • 10 years of experience managing related food services operations  with a minimum of 5 years experience in providing such services to large facilities or operations overseas in a contingency environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks independently
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and collaboration in diverse environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service.
  • Demonstrated experience ensuring food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standard compliance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Excellent demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent demonstrated interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the U.S. Government Contracting industry.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large life support services programs in a contingency environment
  • Working knowledge of automated food service inventory, ordering, production, and management systems.
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desired, but not required.

Working Conditions

  • Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable or hazardous at times.
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
  • Requires periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary.
  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
