SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager - Broadcast Engineer to join our team in Fort Meade, MD in support of IT, Engineering & Logistics for the Defense Information School (DINFOS).


  • Analyze, research, and provide recommendations for existing and future technologies in support of audio/visual, still photography, print and graphics operations
  • Analyze and identify customer information system requirements by designing or conducting analytical studies, cost-benefit analysis or other research germane to the assigned projects.
  • Participate with key officials in defining projects goals and coordinate preparation of a master plan for accomplishing goals.
  • Determine which phases of a project will be performed by other specialists or contractors.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to develop project schedules and plan resources; communicate with customers as to schedule progress while managing potential delays and risks
  • Work with the customer to define and document customer requirements.
  • Manage team resources to ensure timely delivery of projects including requirements specifications, design documents, project plans, etc.
  • Interface regularly with other delivery teams providing complementary support for other efforts.


  • Candidate must possess or be eligible for favorable T1 (NACI, national Agency Check) investigation
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related (OR the equivalent years' of Broadcast Engineering experience)
  • Must be SBE Certified as a Broadcast Engineer or FCC licensed
  • Thorough knowledge or extensive experience in all aspects Broadcast Engineering, and technical support in support of radio, television, satellite, still photography and other visual information systems
  • Subject matter expertise in Broadcast systems, Audio/Visual systems, and RF Transmission systems
  • Knowledge and ability to analyze and repair voice, data and video communications systems, IT systems, methods and techniques used to accomplish communications functions
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in information and broadcast technology, as well as academic systems integration
  • Thorough knowledge of Project Management principles and procedures
  • Skill in written and oral communication to include technical subject matter

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active in scope SECRET clearance.
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
