SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Military Forces Analyst (Junior) to support a government program in Charlottesville, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze conventional and irregular forces organization and how groups structure military and non-military units and departments, appoint, advance, and remove leaders, make and implement decisions, and engage allies and adversaries. Includes composition, capabilities, and command and control
  • Analyze conventional and irregular forces capabilities and how these ground force organizations sustain themselves, influence populations, and field combat forces. Conventional force capabilities include organization and administration, military manpower, weapons and equipment, order of battle, logistics, training, recruiting and resourcing. Insurgent capabilities include recruitment, messaging, population control, material procurement, development and proliferation, transregional logistics, and financing
  • Collaborate with counterpart analysts, collectors, and leaders throughout the DoD and the IC to facilitate the exchange of all-source intelligence information as necessary in fulfillment of formal program production
  • This position requires travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations

Qualifications

  • Active in scope TS/SCI clearance, must be willing to obtain a CI Polygraph
  • BA/BS degree in related field AND 5 years of experience as a Military Forces Analyst on US DoD programs and projects that provided expert intelligence analysis services; OR 8 years of experience as a Military Forces Analyst on DoD programs and projects that provided expert intelligence analysis services
  • Demonstrates ability to conduct all-source analytic production on foreign military forces on, but not limited to, foreign military organizations, command structure, strategy and doctrine, capabilities, equipment, operations and exercise, facilities, sustainment, leadership, and force disposition/order of battle
  • Demonstrates ability to define problems, supervise studies and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions
  • Demonstrates analytic leadership and expertise in identifying, planning, developing, and executing analytic production methodologies, tradecraft and techniques aligned with labor category mission
  • Demonstrates extensive ability to provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to senior Defense planners and policymakers
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of National Level, DoD and IC agencies Information Security Program and Foreign Disclosure concepts, principles, practices and procedures to review, analyze, and release classified and unclassified data in accordance with the National Disclosure
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of data transfer requirements for moving data between classified and unclassified computer systems and is able to provide expert advice and guidance to contractor personnel on
  • Expert knowledge of the intelligence cycle and the analytical process that acts on collection to produce information for intelligence databases and products
  • Excellent communication skills in order to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates
  • Excellent analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability producing reports for senior DoD decision makers
  • Demonstrated experience with the application of quantitative and qualitative analytic methods
  • Detailed knowledge of DoD and IC interagency operations
  • Superior understanding of DoD Intelligence processes, activities, standards, and available analytic tools with general understanding of program operations
  • Knowledge of and experience in planning and executing technical studies and reports for computer systems and computer networks
  • Knowledge of and experience with Conventional and Irregular Warfare concepts and operations
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required

  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
  • This position requires travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations
