SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Weapons System Analyst (Senior) to support a government program in Charlottesville, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze conventional and irregular forces capabilities and how these ground force organizations sustain themselves, influence populations, and field combat forces. Conventional force capabilities include organization and administration, military manpower, weapons and equipment, order of battle, logistics, training, recruiting and resourcing. Insurgent capabilities include recruitment, messaging, population control, material procurement, development and proliferation, transregional logistics, and financing
  • Analyze conventional forces and irregular forces tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) and how both types of ground forces organizations use weapons and systems, conduct battlefield maneuvers, and employ force in armed conflict. This includes doctrinal history and analysis, strategy, operational art, tactics, and warfighting concepts and functions
  • Develop force-on-force scenarios for threat nations invasions into other countries, to include analysis of battle type factors such as force ratios, national/armed forces strengths and weaknesses, quality and numbers of weapons and equipment, national and armed forces doctrines, and intangibles such esprit du corps and morale
  • Develop analytic strategies to resolve key intelligence questions of mission-driven requirements
  • This position requires travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations

Qualifications

  • Active in scope TS/SCI clearance, must be willing to obtain a CI Polygraph
  • MA or MS degree in related field AND 12 years of experience as a Weapons Systems Analyst on DoD programs and projects that provided expert intelligence analysis services; OR BA/BS degree in related field AND 15 years of experience as a Weapons Systems Analyst on DoD programs and projects that provided expert intelligence analysis services; OR 17 years of experience as a Weapons Systems Analyst on DoD programs and projects that provided expert intelligence analysis services.
  • Demonstrated experience with all-source intelligence processes, data evaluation, and analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to manage research and coordination for long-term projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), and Human Intelligence (HUMINT)
  • Demonstrated experience with intelligence analysis tools and databases
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and assess current and future foreign, lethal and non lethal, weapon systems including, but not limited to, system vulnerabilities, production, stockpile, deployment, proliferation, and impact to U.S. and Coalition forces worldwide
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of a wide range of National Level, DoD and IC agencies Information Security Program and Foreign Disclosure concepts, principles, practices and procedures to review, analyze, and release classified and unclassified data in accordance with the National Disclosure Policy
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of data transfer requirements for moving data between classified and unclassified computer systems
  • Demonstrates mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies and pursue developments in academia or other fields that affect tradecraft methodology. Demonstrates ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments to address and contribute to high-level tasks
  • Demonstrates in-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intra-IC boundaries and clearly articulates key
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and with minimal oversight
  • Demonstrates ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions; routinely tests analytic rigor of analytic products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability producing reports for senior DoD decision
  • Demonstrated experience with the application of quantitative and qualitative analytic methods
  • Detailed knowledge of DoD and/or IC interagency operations
  • Superior understanding of DoD Intelligence processes, activities, standards, and available analytic tools with general understanding of program operations
  • Knowledge of and experience in planning and executing technical studies and reports for computer systems and computer networks
  • Knowledge of and experience with Conventional and Irregular Warfare concepts and operations
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required

  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
  • This position requires travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations
