SOSi is currently seeking an experienced IT Operations Support Engineer to join our Financial Systems Operations (FSO) team in Charleston, SC. The Financial Systems Operations Unit is responsible for the operation of both domestic and overseas financial systems, including payroll, accounting, accounts receivable, disbursing, cash reconciliation, data warehouse, imaging, and Treasury reporting systems.


  • Plan, develop, integrate, and automate application and operating system tasks through an automated batch scheduler (eg. BMC Control-M) with focus on efficiency and automation.
  • Develop, document, and execute daily, operating procedures to support the production systems.
  • Perform the installation of application software and core database software upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
  • Analyze and correct both functional and technical issues that arise.
  • Plan, test, and execute continuity of operations plans (COOP) for all applicable systems
  • Plan and manage all aspects of the financial systems supported by the Unit.
  • Provide efficient analysis and troubleshooting of complex production issues, both during and after normal business hours, to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and metrics are maintained or exceeded.
  • Develop scripting solutions to aid support objectives.

  • Momentum Financials
  • Business Objects Enterprise
  • SQL and SQL Plus
  • Windows 2008 and Later
  • BMC Control-M batch scheduling software


  • Secret clearance or ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance
  • Four-year degree in computer science, business or closely related
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in systems development, requirements development, and/or automated financial systems analysis.
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate technical as well as non-technical information, both orally and in writing.
  • Must place emphasis on teamwork and work well in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.

Working Conditions

  • Work environment is normal for office setting in a multiple (closely located) building campus located in a Federal Facility
  • The Unit is a DevOps environment and has a customer base that is world wide and responsible for after-hours support (via a duty phone rotation).
  • The workday is 8-hour and 45-minutes including a 45-minute non-compensated lunch
  • Core hours are from 9am-3pm
  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
