SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Mid-Level Network Engineer to provide technical support to our programs in Vienna, VA. While SOSi continues a remote work policy, this particular billet is considered Mission Essential and does require socially distanced periodic support in support of onsite network maintenance. Our Vienna office is located near the Mosaic shopping center with immediate access to the Dunn Loring Metro Station. 

We are looking for a person willing and eager to expand their current IT knowledge base. The candidate should be interested in a position that is flexible to daily taskings and not a ridged repetitive list of duties. This position requires hands on user support as well as network engineering.  Not only will the perfect candidate enjoy solving user issues but also integrating new technologies to our expanding datacenter.  Our customers and users are world-wide so keen knowledge of hosting, VPN, routing and internet technologies are a must. • Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involve account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
• Manage IT system infrastructure and processes related to these systems
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, etc.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problem
• Configure and manage Macintosh, UNIX and Windows operating systems
• Install/load operating system and application software for users
• Isolate and resolve of hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof
• Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
• Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of collection systems
• Other duties as assigned

• Active in scope Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position (e.g. information systems, computer science, math, or engineering) OR; 6 years’ experience of relevant Systems/Network Administrator OR related technical experience as a substitute for the Bachelor's Degree
• Must have minimum 2 years relevant experience as a Systems Administrator and minimum 2 years relevant experience as a Network Administrator
