Overview

SOSi is seeking a Transmission Engineer to supports the 335th Signal Command with ARCENT in Kuwait. The Transmission Engineer will be responsible for the design and delivery of secure voice, video, and data communications networks across the AOR.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support, on circuit/circuit actions, to meetings as requested by the government.
  • Conduct transmission systems/networks verification and validation.
  • Perform Test and Acceptance on all trunks, links, circuits, and equipment for which the TCF’s are responsible, using standard codes within the appropriate parameters.
  • Coordinate the installation of government circuits with the Defense Information Systems Agency, local users and commercial vendors.
  • Coordinate and evaluate the impact for networking equipment changes to include security, continuation of OpPlans, mobilization and automation/data/voice operation, database and software implications.
  • Provide engineering trouble-shooting assistance in respect to radio frequency baseband transmission systems/networks that include MIDAS, Promina, DKETs, GSC-39s, USC60s, tactical radios transmission systems/networks, special purpose radio transmission systems/networks, encryption, antennas, cabling, transmission topology, TDMA/FDMA mesh, path profiling software, and surveys.

Qualifications

  • Active in scope DoD secret security clearance.
  • Must currently possess a CCNP certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a combatant command engineering IT solutions for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and CPN-X.
  • Current US Passport.
  • Ability to meet Visa and CRC CENTCOM Mod-15 Deployment Requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IAT Level II certification such as Security+ desired.
  • Working environment is a climate-controlled facility.  Outdoor temperatures may exceed temperatures of 110 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Fluency in a foreign language desired but not required.
