Overview

SOSi is currently seeking Youth Care Worker Drivers/Escorts to join our team in San Antonio, TX supporting a humanitarian assistance project for our government customer.

Responsibilities

  • Operates minibus, van, or lightweight truck and transports clients, trainees, or company personnel.
  • Drives vehicle from individual or central loading area to social services or rehabilitation center, training location, job site, or other destination according to assigned schedule.
  • Prepares and verifies route before driving.
  • May require a commercial driver's license.
  • May assist disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
  • May secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
  • May operate radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
  • May clean and/or service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
  • May keep records of trips and/or behavior of passengers.
  • May perform other duties when not driving, such as custodial and building maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • High school or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Bi-lingual, Spanish and English required.
  • Must be able to work independently or within a team.

  • Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment
