Overview

SOSi is currently seeking an HR Specialist to join our team in San Antonio, TX supporting a humanitarian assistance project for our government customer.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the creation and management of long-term human resource programs including employee policies, recruitment and onboarding procedures, engagement initiatives and other employee-related matters.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact to answer general HR-related inquiries and responds to questions or concerns timely and accurately.
  • Provides support during the candidate selection and interview process.
  • Works with incoming employees throughout the hiring process and conducts employee onboarding sessions.
  • Processes background checks, employment verifications and new hire paperwork.
  • Assists other HR team members with the completion of recurring and ad-hoc administrative tasks.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in related field.
  • Bilingual; Spanish and English
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of labor legistlation and payroll processes.
  • Must be able to work independently or within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of related experience.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and pressure.
  • Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment
