Overview

SOSi is currently seeking a Lead Mental Health Cilinician to join our team in San Antonio, TX supporting a humanitarian assistance project for our government customer.

Responsibilities

  • Provides psychological social work assistance to mentally or emotionally disturbed patients of hospitals, clinics, and other medical centers, and to their families, collaborating with psychiatric and allied team in diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Directs the activities of Psychologists and other members of health team.
  • Oversees the investigation of patient's family and social background pertinent to diagnosis and treatment.
  • Consults with Psychiatrist, and may work directly in treatment relationship with patients, individually or in groups.
  • Acts as link between patient, psychiatric agency, and community.
  • May refer patient or patient's family to other community resources.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field preferred.
  • Relevant experience in a healthcare setting performing clinical assessments.
  • Bilingual Spanish and English required.
  • Must be able to work independently or within a team.
