SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking Locksmith / Facilities Maintenance Worker.  The Skilled Tradesman Locksmith is responsible for maintaining the lock systems for all CENTCOM buildings located on MacDill Air Force Base. Locksmith tasks will be the priorities however facilities maintenance task will be assigned to maintain a full workload. Facility maintenance tasks include planning, inspecting, maintenance, repair and enhancement of building components.  Maintenance tasks include the following trades: carpentry, masonry, painting, basic plumbing and electrical repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.  

• Assist clients in unlocking doors when keys are lost or in changing lock combinations by inserting new pins into locksets or create keys from code or duplicate keys as needed
• Key accountability on the BEST Key Code system plus all locks, safe and vault doors, dial and cipher locks, to include installation, combination changes, disabling or penetrating inoperative locks (such as a Mass Hamilton X-09/X-10) IAW DoD Lock Program guidance
• Repair or replace locking mechanisms and fabricate keys to replace lost or damaged keys
• Possess GSA safe and lock certification with minimum 5 years’ experience.
• May install, maintain, repair, overhaul locks and door hardware
• Disassembles locks and repairs or replaces worn tumblers, springs and other parts
• Knowledge of standard methods, procedures, and various types of locks and tools used in the installation, maintenance, and repair of locks
• Knowledge of locking systems and electronic security devices
• Knowledge of electronic access standard methods and procedures used in the installation and programming of electronic access systems
• Knowledge of typical control strategies utilized in electronic building access applications
• Ability to perform read preventative maintenance checklists and perform the required tasks
• Must be able to work an on-call schedule as needed based on the security situational problems/issues dealing with locking of CENTCOM buildings and etc.
• This may include occasional night and weekend work

• Active in scope SECRET security clearance
• GSA safe and lock certification with minimum two years’ experience
• At least two years’ experience as facilities maintenance worker with skills in two or more areas

• Understanding of the Air Force or Army culture, language and expectations for mission success
• Fluency in a foreign language
  
  

• Working conditions are normal for an office environment
• Overseas travel within the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility is anticipated 
• Ability to lift and/or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs
