SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Vice President of Contracts to join our team in Reston, VA. The Vice President of Contracts is responsible for the providing government contract oversight, consultation and general advice in support of the Government Contracts functional area.


  • Leading a team of contracts professionals with full cycle contract administration responsibility from proposal review and support to daily contract administration to contract close-out.
  • Working with Business Development to analyze and interpret proposal requirements, participating in proposal strategy and pricing sessions, identifying risk and developing mitigation plans, ensuring final proposals are accurate, complete, and compliant. 
  • Supporting the company’s growth initiatives while mitigating risk and ensuring compliance with government regulations and SOSi contract management practices.
  • Effective relationship management skills and ability to regularly engage with contracting officers and other customers ensuring successful contract administration.
  • Identifying and resolving complex contract issues and advising on contractual rights and obligations.
  • Supporting SOSi’s strategic initiatives, including assistance with M&A diligence and integration efforts.
  • Identifying and briefing executive leadership relevant and important contractual matters. 
  • Remaining current on government contracting regulations, industry trends and best practices.
  • Performing other related duties assigned by management.


  • Bachelor’s degree; relevant post-graduate degree is desirable.
  • Twelve to fifteen years’ related experience in the U.S. government contracting industry.
  • Leadership role in cradle to grave management of government and commercial contracts, including prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements and other contractual arrangements.
  • Strong drafting skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts
  • Extensive knowledge of contract administration principles, contract types and U.S. government acquisition regulations, including the FAR and DFARS.
  • Excellent analytical skills, effective written and oral communications skills, effective negotiation skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other SOSi corporate functions.
  • Understand the broader impact of proposed or awarded work and contract terms on the company.
  • Industry experience with cyber security, software engineering and intel analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree.
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends.
  • May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
