Exovera LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SOSi has an immediate need for a News Desk Analyst to join our team. The winning candidate will monitor US and international media sources in the development of an early-morning briefing for corporate leadership related to current events and the US and international business environment and competitive government contracting landscape. The ideal candidate will have at minimum a Bachelor’s degree, and outstanding written communication skills, as well as general knowledge and interest in global current events, international business, government contracting, and the like.


The News Desk Analyst is part of a team working 24/7 and must be willing and able to work on a variable shift schedule, including weekend and overnight shifts. Shift work will include analyzing local, regional, and international print, broadcast, and social media sources.



  • Monitors news sites, news wires, government and industry publications, and other relevant sources
  • Compiles and writes brief summaries of content items per standing requirements
  • Writes, edits, and distributes English-language reports to appropriate customer lists
  • May need to respond to specific inquiries and customer correspondence
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Opportunities for occasional remote work
  • Works four overnight shifts per week.
  • Works one evening editing shift per week


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as International Affairs, Political Science, Security, History, Sociology, or other related fields
  • Relevant monitoring and reporting experience, editing, and skill at processing information
  • Strong interest and knowledge of global current events and government contracting business environment
  • Proven ability to write in clear professional, error-free, and concise English
  • Must have at least 2 years of English editing experience
  • Demonstrated comfort and speed with information technology and multimedia software, including publishing and analytics tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize projects
  • Comfort and experience disseminating information in a high-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Commitment, reliability, flexibility and ability to work non-traditional hours.
  • Maturity, honesty, and integrity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline such as International Affairs, Political Science, Security, History, Sociology, or other related fields is preferred
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required

Working Conditions

  • Requires commitment, flexibility and ability to work non-traditional hours including nights or weekends on a rotating shift schedule
  • Required to work overnight shifts
  • Offers some schedule flexibility and occasional opportunities to work from home
