Overview

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a highly qualified Quality Manager for its Reston, Virginia operational headquarters. The Quality Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing SOSi’s quality functions in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and CMMI V2.0 Maturity Level 3 requirements. This position will report to the Chief Administrative Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain company Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and CMMI V2.0 requirements.
  • Prepare for third-party ISO 9001:2015 audits and CMMI V2.0 Maturity Level 3 appraisals for Development and Services.
  • Conduct internal audits to monitor compliance with established policies and procedures; develop and monitor corrective action plans for noncompliant findings.
  • Collect, analyze and present key performance indicators and process improvement metrics; provide organizational roadmaps for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal staff to develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, systems, and controls; support creation of workflow efficiencies.
  • Assist proposal department and program managers with drafting quality management/quality control plans.
  • Manage annual review of all process documentation.
  • Support ongoing maintenance of QMS SharePoint site, program SharePoint sites, and corrective action/process improvement databases.
  • Conduct training on quality management processes and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes through seminar attendance, training opportunities, and best practice sharing; educate internal stakeholders about changes to regulations.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or five years’ experience managing the Quality Management function of a >$100M company supporting complex government and commercial programs.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Sound understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and CMMI V2.0 Maturity Level 3 practices with demonstrated ability to pass audits and appraisals.
  • Internal auditing experience.
  • Excellent writing skills; previous experience with drafting QA/QC plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to develop presentations and deliver training.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint and Visio.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and deliver on multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Eligibility for access to classified information; U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate will have 10+ years of hands-on Quality Control and Quality Assurance experience with at least five years supporting complex commercial and/or government programs.
  • CMMI Associate certification.
