Overview

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Vice President for Corporate Security to work in its operational headquarters in Reston, VA. The VP for Corporate Security is responsible for developing and standardizing corporate security policies and procedures in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and other applicable government regulations. The VP of Corporate Security will be responsible for implementing and enforcing these policies and procedures in order to protect Company networks, data, facilities, personnel, property, and assets both domestic and international.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Company’s security framework and infrastructure, to include a comprehensive set of policies and standard operating procedures in consultation with other internal and external subject matter experts, as required.
  • Manage the Company’s adherence to the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), including but not limited to: overseeing its security clearance program; maintaining and securing accreditations for its Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and secure communication accounts; and preparing for U.S. Government audits (and working with auditors) conducted by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and other U.S. Government entities
  • Represent the Company in Government and industry associations, including, but not limited to the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) and serve as an Industrial Security “thought-leader” in security-related public events and forums.
  • Hire, develop, and manage a team of security professionals to oversee all aspects of the Company’s security program.
  • Coordinate activities and secure consensus of all of the Company’s internal security program stakeholders (including but not limited to: Human Resources, IT, Purchasing, Business Development, Legal/Contracts, and the business units), in order to ensure all such activities are undertaken within the security program framework established and enforced by the VP for Corporate Security.
  • Select and manage external vendors for security-related products and services in partnership with the Purchasing and Contracts Departments (i.e. drafting work statements, performing technical evaluations, etc.).
  • Manage the Company’s response to security breaches and supporting internal investigations, to include the Insider Threat Program and support of CMMC requirements related to security.
  • Directly manage access control in all of the Company’s facilities, and commissioning and managing regular vulnerability audits and assessments of system, network, information, and facility security.
  • Stay abreast of U.S. Government information, industrial, and operation security regulations and, work with the Company’s Human Resources and Legal Departments, developing, updating, and implementing the Company’s security policies and training.
  • Work with the Human Resources and Communications Departments to develop and lead a comprehensive Company-wide security communication and awareness program.
  • Establish and manage protocols for the Company’s international security support operations, to include: insider threat awareness, critical incident response planning, counter-surveillance measures, asset and workforce protection, and information and communication security (in consultation with other internal and external subject matter experts, as required).
  • Research, evaluate, acquire, and deploy the latest security-related technologies and practices into the Company in alignment with overall Company security and IT strategies.
  • Perform other tasks and support other Company objectives, as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience that demonstrates deep technical and subject matter expertise in industrial security, and other components of security.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and budgets.
  • Excellent demonstrated knowledge of U.S. national security, defense, intelligence, and law enforcement communities.
  • Excellent demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Government Industrial Security Program and relevant U.S. Government regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational and oral/written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills (i.e. ability to supervise, mentor, coach, guide and train subordinate security staff)
  • Excellent demonstrated written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intelligence Community experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Special Access Programs (SAP) and Communications Security (COMSEC) is highly desirable.
