SOSi is seeking an Afghan American Liaison in support of a U.S. Government customer.


  • Work with Operations Team Lead (OTL) to conduct recruiting and vetting of Afghan employees as required.
  • In coordination with OTL, provide the AA with job training, performance improvement guidance, and administrative guidance.
  • With guidance from OTL, coordinate collection requirements with Afghan employees. Coordination will be made strictly in Dari/Pashto.
  • Receive and translate verbal and/or written reports from Afghan employees into clear and concise, idiomatically correct written English ensuring that all essential elements of information are included – “who, what, where, when, and why.” Provide reports to OTL for review/quality control checks.
  • Normal work hours are 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Shift work may be required to support 24/7 operations.


  • Afghan American Liaison Born in Afghanistan with native proficiency (3+/3+) in Pashto and/or Dari. Must be able to type in Dari and/or Pashto.
  • At least two years of experience in Afghanistan within the past seven years.
  • Working proficiency of English. Must be able to type in English.
  • Proficient with WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, MeWe, Proton email or other messaging software as required.
  • Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and office automation equipment (computer, printer, monitor).
  • U.S. or European equivalent of an associate’s degree, or two years of post-secondary education.

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable).
