SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to support our government client in Washington, DC. The PMII level Project Manager will have experience in the IT industry to support our government clients in delivering projects from conceptual design through implementation. The PMII will have the chance to network with clients, vendors, and in-house personnel as well as demonstrate talents by employing and providing strong project management and or SCRUM Master experience to support development and COTS solutions.

  • Consistently demonstrate knowledge and practical application of basic and advanced PMI project management lifestyle practices such as risks, issues, schedule, scope and reporting
  • Consistently produce high quality deliverables and work products that meet company and client expectations.
  • Support Government clients with top-down project management throughout the entire product and project life-cycle; ensuring success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with the IT software development life-cycle and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
  • Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Analyze economics of project plans and provide actionable feedback relating to cost benefit and return-on-investment standards.
  • Review changes to project schedules, including meeting with business stakeholders to approve, implement and recommend beneficial changes.
  • Advise government acquisitions on SOW requirements for inclusion in solicitations, market research on technical solutions, and advise on vendor demos.
  • Anticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with customers and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news.

Adhere to company administrative, employment, and performance policies and standards


  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust with the SEC
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (A must)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated Strong teaming abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to make sounds decisions with minimal to no oversight.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience as an IT Project Manager
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience working with government agencies as a contractor or government staff.
  • Experience managing a minimum of $1M project budget.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Working knowledge/proficiency with Microsoft Project
  • Agile experience and/or Agile Certification(s)
