SOS International LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking a Senior Systems Administrator in Fort Huachuca, AZ for the NETCOM Unified Capabilities team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in Windows servers running on VMWare at dispersed data centers. General tasks include managing hardware, deploying new servers, patch management, application deployment, storage configuration and management. Server OS must be maintained according to customer security requirements, maintaining minimum patch standards and configurations.


  • Ability to establish working relations at all organizational levels. Demonstrate ability to deal with Government officials and program office stakeholders diplomatically and effectively
  • Work at a high pace environment with multiple sites cooperatively as a team to accomplish mission requirements
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP management and implementation Strong Network Operations technical support and problem-solving skills
  • Operate and maintain VMware virtualized environments on diverse hardware platforms
  • Plan, coordinate, and document the use of revised/updated procedures, processes, and methods for the operations and maintenance
  • Utilize Remedy ITSM, or similar ticket systems, to track and resolve problems impacting continued system operations and make recommendations for any corrective actions required
  • Troubleshoot complex issues using GUI, command line interface, and Windows PowerShell
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to trace and resolve technical problems
  • Work with remote customers and technical support vendors to resolve complicated hardware and software issues
  • Provide administrative support for servers and workstations
  • Apply configuration to servers and workstations to maintain DISA STIG compliance
  • Apply provided patches to keep servers and workstations compliant with IAVM requirements
  • Provide creative solutions to mission requirements to maintain operational status of servers and workstations


  • Active in scope SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET eligibility
  • HS +6 years of experience or AA/AS +4 or BA/BS +2 in related field
  • DoD 8570 IAT-II (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP) at hire
  • Windows Server 2012 (or 2016) or VMware Certified Professional 6.5 - Data Center Virtualization (VCP6.5-DCV) certification w/in 180 days of hire
  • Knowledge and Experience with:
    • Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS)
    • Microsoft Server 2012 and later
    • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
    • Microsoft SQL 2012 and later
    • Microsoft IIS 8.0 and later
    • Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager (SCCM)
    • Microsoft Office 2013 and later
    • RedHat Linux
    • VMware vSphere 6.5 and later, HA, DRS
    • Xen Hypervisor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Travel to Contingency of Operations Plan (COOP) sites.
  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
