SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking a Senior Applications Systems Analyst in Fort Huachuca, AZ.  The ideal candidate will be someone who possesses experience in an Enterprise service for the U.S. Army. This position will support the ESMS team, which provides cutting edge services focused on RCC-C.


  • Manage and maintain applications such as Remedy/ITSM 9.1, Apache (Windows based), and NETCOOL (UNIX based) for an enterprise service provider
  • Ensure application configuration compliance with DoD and Army regulations
  • Document technical troubleshooting efforts
  • Effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Gather/document/analyze enhancement requests
  • Evaluate/assess fit between requirements and Remedy application suite capabilities in support of department's philosophy of using standard out-of-the-box functionality, minimizing customizations where possible
  • Perform risk identification, assessment, remediation and performance tuning
  • Conduct user training for IT/Business as required
  • Create all necessary documentation/SOPs, training material and user guides
  • Stay current on emerging tools, techniques and technologies; Maintain skills/capabilities through education/training/hands-on experiences
  • Contribute to customization, configuration, upgrade and further integration of the Enterprise Monitoring and Management system, specifically using IBM/Tivoli (NETCOOL) core products – Omnibus, Impact
  • Supervise efficient application of various window patches and security controls
  • Install and configure various commercial products on window operating systems
  • Supervise system software processor and prepare upgrade strategies for storage
  • Coordinate with various groups and perform troubleshooting on all production problems and provide resolution
  • Perform research on system technology and provide resolution to complex issues for processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Active in scope SECRET clearance with T5 investigation or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET T5 eligibility
  • HS +6 years of Information Technology (IT) experience, or AA/AS +4 or BA/BS +2 at minimum
  • One year of hands-on Windows system administration
  • An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required
  • Excellent team skills, must be thorough, must have excellent communications skills, written and verbal
  • One of the below BMC requirements within 180 days of hire

    • BMC Remedy Asset Management 19.x: Using training
    • BMC Remedy Change Management 19.x: Using training
    • BMC Remedy IT Service Management 19.x: Administering training
    • BMC Remedy Knowledge Management 19.x training
    • BMC Atrium CMDB 19.x Administering training
    • BMC Service Request Management 19.x training
    • Remedy AR System 9.1: Concepts (WBT)
  • Be a self-motivated system administrator to provide enterprise server support for the Army in a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Demonstrate initiative and be results oriented with flexibility and tenacity
  • Ability to create and/or modify scripts (batch, PowerShell)
  • Knowledge of networking concepts
  • Ability to research and develop creative solutions to unique problems
  • Demonstrate the ability to continuously adjust priorities to reflect changing circumstances
  • Ability to work in a dynamic cross-organizational team environment
  • Strong dedication to provide quality customer service
  • Effective problem-solving skills and inherent decision-making ability
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to quickly identify the cause of issues with the system or determine if other teams need to be included in resolving an issue
  • Ability to manage own projects including communications to customers as well as work as part of a larger team managed by a project manager

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required
