SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking an Active Directory Senior Subject Matter Expert at Fort Huachuca, AZ in support of a large, mission-critical IT services and support program with continuous (24x7) operations. 

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the principal active directory SME reporting to the Program Director
  • Leads all phases of active directory and daily operations
  • Develops solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
  • Conducts root cause analysis to identify, diagnose, and resolve active directory problems Orchestrates maintenance to support active directory activities to all system users
  • Configures, tests, and maintains active directory equipment’s and related services
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for all implemented active directory activities
  • Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including email, file transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing, authentication, and the like.
  • Configures systems to user requirements.
  • Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as the operations and maintenance of the hardware and software on the serversSupport implementation plans of new configurations for insertion and integration
  • May administer active directory security and/or maintain active directory security appliances.
  • Works with vendors to evaluate new products and resolve equipment design problems.
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced active directory engineers and other technical staff.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participates in routine meetings and special projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Active in scope SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET eligibility
  • BS in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field
  • An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or the current highest level of MS certification for Active Directory
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Applications and Services (IIS, DNS/DHCP, WINS).
  • Knowledgeable in the mission and operational requirements of the U.S. Army
  • Demonstrated understanding of U.S. Army IT operational and technical requirements and an advanced understanding of U.S. Army IT applications and network systems
  • In-depth understanding of Active Directory delegation and security models
  • Experience managing production Windows Servers used to support multiple mission critical initiatives.
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Enterprise Technologies such as SQL Server, Exchange etc.
  • Ability to configure and manage Active Directory DNS and DHCP.
  • Must possess a solid understanding and experience of and with Active Directory and/or LDAP.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating platforms and office applications.
  • Design, maintain, and manage Domain/Forest trusts. Design, maintain, manage, and monitor Directory/Forest/Domain replication.
  • Develop and maintain Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPO), accounts, and security groups.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, after hours, holidays, and weekends, as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in network management, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, National Security Strategy, or a related field
  • ITIL v4 certification
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory 2012/2016 domains in US Army organizations.
  • 3-5 years or more of supervisory experience
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
