SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking a Network Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Fort Huachuca, AZ in support of a large, mission-critical IT services and support program with continuous (24x7) operations. The ideal candidate will serve as the Division Chief for Network and Transport Services.


  • Serves as the principal network and transport SME reporting to the Program Director
  • Leads all phases of network and transport operations from inception through completion and serve
  • Develops solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
  • Analyze network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.
  • Conducts root cause analysis to identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems
  • Orchestrates maintenance to support network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
  • Configures, tests, and maintains LAN/WAN equipment’s and related services
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks
  • Analyzes data and multi-media communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.
  • Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including email, file transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing, authentication, and the like.
  • Configures systems to user requirements.
  • Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as the operations and maintenance of the hardware and software on the servers
  • Support implementation plans of new configurations for insertion and integration into the network and the specifications for network interfaces to ensure effective integration and optimal network performance.
  • May administer network security and/or maintain network security appliances.
  • Works with vendors to evaluate new products and resolve equipment design problems.
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network engineers and other technical staff.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.


  • Active in scope SECRET clearance.
  • BS in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field
  • At least four years supporting Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) Information Systems.
  • CSSP-IS Certification and/or network systems and technology.
  • CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
  • Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist -OR- Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate.
  • IAM II Certification (CAP, CASP+ CE, CCISO, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), HCISPP, or GSLC).
  • Demonstrated understanding of U.S. Army IT operational and technical requirements and an advanced understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Knowledgeable in the mission and operational requirements of the U.S. Army.
  • Demonstrated understanding of U.S. Army IT operational and technical requirements and an advanced understanding of U.S. Army IT applications and network systems.
  • Expertise in management and control of complex information systems architectures involving multiple disparate databases, networks, and communications subsystems.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, after hours, holidays, and weekends, as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in network management, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, National Security Strategy, or a related field
  • ITIL v4 certification
  • PMP certification
  • Detailed understanding of the Army Unified Network Plans
  • Experience leading a large, technically complex organization consisting of at least several hundred staff
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.

  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
