SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Legal & Compliance Operations Manager (LOM). The LOM is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, completion, and maintenance of the Legal, Ethics & Compliance, and Contracts departments’ business and process improvement projects and Ethics & Compliance Program. Throughout the lifecycle of each project, the LOM tracks project status and manages project teams to mitigate issues and risks and informs the General Counsel and other company leadership on the status of the projects.


  • Supports organizational planning initiatives for the Legal, Ethics and Compliance, and Contracts departments; coordinates closely with the General Counsel, Ethics and Compliance Working Group, and Contracts VP on projects for business and process improvements.
  • Works closely with company functional leadership and teams on business and process improvement projects and the Ethics and Compliance Program.
  • Conducts interviews with company personnel and reviews company documentation to understand current processes and establish areas of business and process improvement and focus.
  • Supports multiple project teams throughout business and process improvement lifecycles.
  • Facilitates and reviews project checkpoint and milestone activities throughout the lifecycle of business and process improvement projects.
  • Assesses, resolves, and communicates to the General Counsel, Ethics and Compliance Working Group, and Contracts VP all high priority project risks as they are encountered.
  • Ensures all projects adhere to the legal and regulatory compliance requirements of the company.
  • Establishes project success standards and manages towards those standards.
  • Recommends areas where existing company tools, processes, and policies may require temporary or permanent improvement.
  • Ensures effective departmental budget management, planning and tracking, expense analysis, forecasting, as well as approval and accruals.
  • Responsible for administration and support for the key legal department systems.
  • Develops and tracks key metrics and analytics for the Legal, Ethics & Compliance, and Contracts departments.
  • Travel to other SOSi office locations or customer sites as necessary.
  • Understands and adheres to all SOSi ethical and compliance policies.
  • Performs other duties as required.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Ethics or Compliance, Communications, Information Technology, Project Management, or other related discipline.
  • Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years general business experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience managing various kinds of projects.
  • Excellent project management, organization, and team collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with business and process improvement or efficiency issues.
  • Proficient in defining process and/or system documentation requirements based on input from team personnel.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and associated Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Exceptional demonstrated verbal communication, presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be comfortable handling and managing complex projects with limited oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, ITIL, or Six Sigma certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience as an in-house project coordinator or consultant developing strategies and managing initiatives and operational improvement projects for corporate legal and ethics and compliance departments.
  • Understanding of in-house legal department operations, including budgeting, records management, and outside counsel engagement.
  • Experience in the Aerospace, Defense, and Government Services Industry.
  • U.S. Government security clearance.
