SOSI is currently looking for a Secret cleared Senior Systems Administrator/Knowledge Manager to join our team in Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Honolulu, Hawaii. The Mission Partner Environment – Engineering Services (MPE-ES) team based out of Honolulu, Hawaii creates, manages and supports IT solutions for USINDOPACOM, its mission and its 5,000+ customers throughout the Pacific theater. Our team solves challenging technical problems that enable USINDOPACOM to realize critical and time-sensitive C2 strategies.

Designs, installs, modifies and maintains data-warehousing solutions. Facilitates data-gathering for the purposes of information-management (IM), knowledge-management (KM) to drive IT systems awareness and decision processes. Responsible for modifying and troubleshooting aforementioned data-collection systems and procedures. Works with staff to design, develop, install, test, debug, modify and maintain databases and related IM/KM components.  

• Assess MPE-ES internal and external data/IM/KM requirements.
• Evaluate vendor products. Develop current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
• Review significant IM/KM IT solution offerings and implement selected solutions and methods.
• Develop scripts and related tools to automate with data-collection, data-processing and storage.
• Secure (protect) and monitor solution components according to Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines.
• Develop/update solution documentation (e.g., IM/KM data handling and retention policies) in addition to, as it pertains to, DoD accreditation requirements.
• Maintain the integrity and security of servers and related systems that comprise IM/KM functionality.
• May serve as a technical team or task leader. May provides guidance/oversight to less-experienced staff members.
• Provide training to administrators, staff and end-users on the IM/KM and related systems.
• Provide status updates and briefings to management and customer, as required.
• Participate in related solution technologies and special projects, as required.

• An Active in-scope SECRET clearance.
• DoD 8570 IAT-I compliant (A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, or SSCP)
• 6+ years of experience in systems administration, security operations or enterprise IT service center operations
• Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in IT systems administration, troubleshooting and support with emphasis on data-warehousing technologies (e.g., web-servers, IIS, SharePoint, SQL Server)
• Extended knowledge of modern operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and related security components.
• Fluency with automation/data-collection tools and languages (e.g., Java, HTML, PowerShell)
• Experience with data center operations in both physical and virtualized environments.
• Ability to support 24/7 operations (including support to exercises) when necessary.

• DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP)
• Relevant IT Certification (e.g., Cisco, Citrix, Dell, HP, ITIL, Microsoft, Nutanix, Palo Alto, VMware)
• Prior Help Desk/software experience (e.g., Jira, Remedy, ServiceNow)
• Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.
