Overview

SOSi is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Specialist to join a large medical support services program in Iraq supporting our U.S. Government customer. The Quality Assurance/Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable contract and regulatory requirements. 

Responsibilities

  • Supports development of internal process controls, strategies, and techniques that ensure SOSi exceeds contractual requirements.
  • Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable contract and regulatory requirements. 
  • Conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation. 
  • Implement and manage the QA/QC and Environmental/Safety program.
  • Consult with local management in determining best measures of project efficiency.
  • Develops data analysis reports documenting trends, risk, and any problem issues related to the contract.
  • Helps develop communication channels with key process owners and create a plan of action regarding how to combat and/or address process difficulties resulting in corrective actions.
  • Reads, analyzes, and interprets existing documents and data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Reviews and approves SOPs, work instructions, forms and validation plans from other departments on behalf of Quality Assurance.

Qualifications

  • Required and able to obtain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT).
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in quality assurance/quality control operations.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the medical and/or public health field.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to make independent and factual judgments.
  • Deployed experience in Iraq or Afghanistan is desirable.
  • Maintain current certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Must have recent experience in the position (at least 6 months out of the past year).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.

Working Conditions

  • Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
  • Long Hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse condition.
