Overview

SOSi is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join a medical support services program in Iraq in support of our U.S. government customer. The Logistics Specialist will be providing clerical, administrative and logistical support, involving supply and maintenance functions.

Responsibilities

  • Provides clerical, administrative and logistical support, involving supply and maintenance functions.
  • Maintains and updates manual and computerized inventory records.
  • Monitors control of medical supplies, equipment and administrative supplies.
  • Receives and stores medical supplies and equipment in designated warehouse.
  • Issues and delivers medical supplies and equipment to support hospitals and medical clinics and health units to maintain established inventory levels.

Qualifications

  • Required and able to obtain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT).

  • High school diploma or country of origin equivalent required.

  • One year of relevant experience in warehousing, administrative and procurement activities is required.
  • Familiarity with Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) or U.S. Military Medical Logistics is desirable.

  • Maintains current certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

  • Must have recent experience in the position (at least 6 months out of the past year).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree is preferred.
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required. 

 

Working Conditions

  • Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.

  • Long Hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse condition.
