Overview

SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking an Associate Applications Systems Analyst (SYSMAN) in Fort Huachuca, AZ. The Associate Application Systems Analyst reports to the SYSMAN Team Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on research and fact-finding in the development or modification of moderately complex information systems.
  • Prepare detailed specifications for future programs.
  • Work competently on most phases of applications systems analysis activities. development of modification.
  • Perform automated system configuration, updating, patching, monitoring, system reporting, and statistics for deployed applications, operating systems, and services using configuration, monitoring and enterprise orchestrating systems / services.
  • Support the RCC-C AOR with computer management system application deployment, configuration, monitoring, reporting, and sustaining services in accordance with system owner’s guidance, best practices, and/or industry standards.
  • Support patching and system hardening through STIG application.
  • Develops, updates, and provides evidence for POAM maintenance and resolutions for all team controlled assets identified with an open security vulnerability requiring mitigation.
  • Identify basic network and system fault corrections.
  • Provide account management services to create, modify, and delete administrator and user accounts.
  • Review and monitors event logs and user access logs and provides routine system updates.
  • Assist with troubleshooting application errors, operating system(s), server hardware, network communications and storage allocation issues within the SYSMAN environment.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to trace and resolve technical problems.
  • Utilize Remedy ITSM to track and resolve problems impacting continued system operations and make recommendations for any corrective actions required.
  • Document the use of revised/updated procedures, processes, and methods for the operations and maintenance of the SYSMAN infrastructure.
  • Assist the configuration and maintenance of applications to support system owner and mission owner requirements.
  • Follow ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes.
  • Develop and/or maintain SOPs, TTPs, and SmartBooks associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Provide on-call support after business hours and during weekends when required.

Qualifications

  • Active in scope SECRET w/T5 clearance or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET w/T5 eligibility
  • HS +2 yrs similar technical experience or AA/AS or BS/BA
  • An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required
  • Ability to perform on-call and after duty hours as needed
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in a written form with users and office staff
  • Capable of explaining complex procedures both verbally and in writing
  • Work independently and within a team structure
  • Ability to set priorities and organize work to meet deadlines
  • Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with those contacted during the course of the work day
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and completely in a logical manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable).
