Overview

SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking an Associate Systems Administrator (DNS) in Fort Huachuca, AZ. The Associate DNS Systems Administrator reports to the DNS Team Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain responsibility for activities related to system administration.
  • Install, conduct maintenance, perform configuration changes, and protect the integrity of computer software.
  • Implement operating system enhancements that improve reliability and performance of systems.
  • Support patching and system hardening through STIG application.
  • Develop, update, and provide evidence for POAM maintenance and resolutions for all team-controlled assets identified with an open security vulnerability requiring mitigation.
  • Transfer files, troubleshoot operational issues within a multi-discipline team, and assign and retrieve network IP space and autonomous system numbers.
  • Maintain production change control schedule and participate in change control.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to sites, including posts, camps, and stations, and tactical domain managers utilizing Army EP-DNS services.
  • Operate and maintain EP-DNS by troubleshooting and correcting as directed via tickets, Operation Order (OPORD) or Task Order (TASKORD); perform account management; enforce network ACLs, update / maintain IP filter list; maintain databases and domain blocks; and modify data files daily, including bad zones blocks.
  • Register and update network assignments with the DoD Network Information Center (NIC) and the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) to ensure registrations are current.
  • Provide timely notification to the Government for any critical or high incidents.
  • Provide on-call support after business hours and during weekends when required.
  • Follow ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes.
  • Develop and/or maintain SOPs, TTPs, and SmartBooks associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Active in scope SECRET clearance with T5 investigation or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET T5 eligibility.
  • HS +2 yrs similar technical experience or AA/AS or BS/BA.
  • An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required.
  • Ability to perform on-call and after duty hours as needed
  • An ability to communicate effectively both orally and in a written form with users and office staff
  • Work independently and within a team structure
  • An ability to set priorities and organize work to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.

  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable).
