Overview

SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking a Database Management System Team Lead in Fort Huachuca, AZ. The Database Management System Team Lead reports to the Enterprise Applications Branch Manager and is responsible for all Database Management technical requirements and databases which include: ArcSight, ACDC, ESMS, Portal, ETFM, SCCM, SCOM, ETFM, PowerBI Data Warehouse Database, PowerBI Application, ARCYBER Data Collector Application, and JBSA SAAG Portal Databases. The Database Management System Team Lead supervises the for the Database Management Team maintains ownership of all Database Management System TTPs, and acts as the coordination point between the Database Management System mission, government task mangers, external organizations, and other RCC-C internal technical areas.

Responsibilities

  • Supervisory responsibilities to include but not limited to:
    • Reporting and timekeeping; technical/administrative training; assuring ITIL process compliance; actively communicating with the government to include utilizing MS Teams; scheduling to effectively utilize all team resources; support management decision-making; committing to quality management standards, QA/QC compliance, and metrics analysis.
    • Coordinates team schedules ensuring mission coverage.
    • Trains, mentors, coaches, and enforces the SOSi code of conduct.
    • Assures ATCTS reporting compliance and employees training and certifications are current. 
    • Recommends innovative solutions to more effectively and efficiently support work performance.
    • Provides performance feedback and appraisals for all direct reports.
    • Nominates employees for recognition and awards program.
    • Supports leadership development and succession planning program.
  • Monitor and manage internal and Enterprise Database Management Systems in support of IT device management tools, collaboration portals, and situational awareness / operational portals accessed IAW developed Role Based Access Control model.
  • Design, implement, and maintain complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
  • Maintain database dictionaries, be responsible for overall monitoring of standards and procedures, and integrate systems through database design.
  • Ensure competence to work at the highest level of all phases of database management.
  • Ensure optimized service delivery of Enterprise Class Relational Database Management System administration and analysis support for disparate database systems and architecture.
  • Follow ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Actively collaborate with GTMs, Branch Chiefs, Division Chiefs and RCC-C Leadership.

Qualifications

  • Active in scope SECRET clearance with T5 investigation or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET T5 eligibility.
  • HS +12 yrs similar technical experience or AA/AS +10, or BS/BA +8
  • An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required
  • Ability to perform on-call and after duty hours as needed
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in a written form with users and office staff
  • Capable of explaining complex procedures both verbally and in writing
  • Work independently and within a team structure
  • Ability to set priorities and organize work to meet deadlines
  • Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with those contacted during the course of the work day
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and completely in a logical manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Oracle Database Explorer or Oracle SQL Explorer
  • PMP Certification
  • 3-5 years or more of supervisory experience.
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.

  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable).
